They are starting to look like those plastic cars for kids that you buy from a garage/gas station.

They are starting to look like those plastic cars for kids that you buy from a garage/gas station. Yes it looks horrible. But it was a test and hopefully not the final prototype. It's Arthur Leclerc in the car with the rain covers and Ollie Bearman (the Jeddah hero) in the second car.

I think that Jan Magnussen went to the wrong team, Stewart Racing, when he first joined F1. Jackie Stewart was always trying to change everything about him, the way he drove, his smoking, his undisciplined lifestyle etc. From my understanding it was done in a rather hectoring manner and it simply closed Jan down. He was a youngster making his way and probably was looking for an elder brother as a mentor and not a critical father which is the way JYS went. Pity because I believe he was an untapped F1 talent and I for one was very sad it didn't turn out well. Rob, I believe you've nailed the reason spot on! I had never heard that JYS was that way, but it makes sense in a perverse way. Stewart, while highly intelligent, has struggled with dyslexia all his life and was taunted and insulted in childhood, even by teachers! I would have hoped he could rise above that when he was the teacher, but he apparently did not.
What a shame...
