Hi Mikael, they have been using a step ladder to climb into the cockpit ever since the halo became mandatory. I think the width of the sidepod plus the halo made it a bit of a stretch.

Thanks Rob; I was not aware of that but yes, that makes sense; the "halo" is quite a "fence" to climb.

I was so nervous and excited for this race, all dressed up in red and with a large banner that said "Ciao Mamma, Siamo Qui!"  But damn, that was a bitter pill to swallow! I really thought this was going to be Ferrari's day in the sun. But no sun, only too much energy drink...  Ferrari was super unlucky starting on the right hand side and Carlos was even more unlucky when our Aussie friend lost control. Charles lost so much time to Max first behind Lando and then Checo, it was a lost cause. I loved the fact they tried to roll the dice in the end but it didn't work out. Yeah, he should have been like Prost or Lauda and take that 3rd but Charles is more like Gilles, always on the limit. He was lucky he could still continue and finish 6th in the end. But Red Bull was strong and both drivers delivered, no argument there. Good drives also from Lando, George, Valtteri, Yuki and also Sebastian who loves these conditions. On to Miami now where Ferrari will strike back. Forza! |

my word Rene - what is happening to me? I was disappointed that Ferrari didn't win! a very good drive by Verstappen - can't fault him or Perez come to that - really felt for Carlos - his luck has to change surely? good on Daniel to go and apologise but it doesn't help. Good races by the above mentioned
I have not see a picture of the completed Miami circuit but am willing to bet it will be a dry race- famous last words?
The F1 sprint race is still not working for me, We have them in WSB and it seems to work better but I am not sure why -
