apologies for late response, a cracking weekend, a brilliant start by Pecco and Fabio, an over-ambitious attempt to prove to Ducati that they chose the wrong rider for next year by Martini ended in the kitty litter and a lot of nerves were shred as Bastiania also went out of his ways to create stress and a statement for next year, but in the end sense prevailed.
But the race of the day and the rider of the meeting was the sheer brilliance of John McPhee in Moto3, who rode what can only be described as a race of immense intelligence and speed, if there was one race I would encourage you chaps to watch is the Moto3 race - if only the last lap, it was totally fantastic and I have never seen more jubilation amongst his peers for his victory - stunning
onto Valencia for what should be a very simple task for Pecco to be world champion , but this is motor racing ain't nothing simple, but all he needs is 2 points.......all he needs - lots of fingernail biting
Rob, you mentioned that the F1 series is too long, something I would agree with, but next year the MotoGP calendar is just ridiculous - so much so most of the teams are employing divorce lawyers on a full time basis

Valencia Grand Prix - Circuit Ricardo Tormo
Francesco Bagnaia or Fabio Quartararo, one will be crowned World Champion this weekend in Spain. Bagnaia has a 23-points lead over Quartararo which looks very comfortable but anything can happen of course. One mistake, a crash, wrong tyre choice, you name it. For Francesco it would be his first title in MotoGP, for Fabio his second in a row. This is going to be exciting!

in a few hours time we will find out who is to be champion, the odds are greatly in Pecco's favour and he is coming across nervously and trying to stay cool with his mentor on hand to keep him as steady as one can and Fabio is having a hoot, after all he has nothing to lose except maybe the world championship, qualifying wasn't great for Pecco but ok for Fabio who lines up 4th but there are an awful lot of riders with points to prove, so should be interesting

Congratulations to Francesco 'Pecco' Bagnaia! World Champion 2022! The race wasn't super exciting but there was still a lot of tension obviously with the championship at stake. There was some excitement when the two contenders Quartararo and Bagnaia had a little tussle but in the end it was a calculated race for Pecco. Fabio Quartararo finished 4th and Bagnaia 9th and that was enough to clinch the title. An Italian rider on an Italian bike! That was some time ago! The win was for Alex Rins on Suzuki. Suzuki will withdraw from the championship. A decision no one understands.
