The Alpha-Tauri presentation is high fashion reflecting the corporate misunderstanding of motorsport, possibly inspired by a pirated photograph of Elon Musk's birth. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button>
Haha, Elon Musk’s birth! . That’s funny (or freaky?). But yes you’re right, the Alpha Tauri clip is high fashion. Alpha Tauri is a fashion brand so it makes sense I guess. I think it’s cool, better than the Red Bull presentation for sure!

First pictures of the new Alfa Romeo C42 at a shakedown/filming day at Fiorano. Valtteri has the honor to give the Alfa it's first run.

Sadly the Williams photos are not showing in Safari on my iMac! The Alfa in its "disguise" does not look anywhere near as good as the one they used a few years ago, looks more like a spy shot taken by a motoring paparazzi. OK I can see a few detail differences in the cars designs with these latest things, like side-pod intakes, airbox intake and a subtle nose rendition but other than that you would have to be at total rivet counter to tell the difference if they were all the same colour. In mitigation I plead advancing years .

Sadly the Williams photos are not showing in Safari on my iMac! Better now? They should show now.
I have to pay more attention to the links as the new Firefox browser (on iMac) now also works with indirect links (.webp) but not all browsers do.

I had no idea what Alpha-Tauri concerned itself with because I try to ignore fashion, a carousel of contempt for women by powerful fashion designers, some as creeepy as Nosferatu...

And here is the real new Williams FW44 at Silverstone shakedown. Nicholas Latifi at the wheel.

I *do* think the cars are going to be very different this year - as different as a strict formula/set of regulations can possibly allow. Just look at the rounded front of the Williams - completely different from the wedge-shaped front of the Aston Martin :-)
It will be an interesting season! I'm sure :-)

Now I have started to pay proper attention I can see that there are lots of differences in these cars, some more nuanced than others. Like you Rob I really like the look of the Williams and how they have interpreted these new regs.
It would be great if they took a big step forward with this car, not only for the team itself but also Alexander Albon who was not treated well by RB after they over promoted him far too soon as knee jerk reaction. They did stand behind him but in reality he should not have been placed in that situation.

Agreed John re Alex Albon and Williams. The car has a giant killer look about it, like the Leyton House in 1989 though I hope it is more successful than that car was that year though in its second or third iteration as a Williams FW14 it was pretty good.

Wow, here it finally is: the new Ferrari F1-75. Forza!
The best looking car so far (if you ask me.. ) and the best looking Ferrari since the early/mid 90s! The classic semi-gloss red is truly beautiful and that sharp nose combined with the black wings remind very much of the cars from the late 80's/early 90's. I love it! ©FerrariAnd... for the die-hard Ferrari fans , the presentation video is really worthwhile watching with Mattia, Charles and Carlos: Link to F1-75 presentation

I agree that the Ferrari looks really good, and very interesting. Black paint on the less attractive parts of these cars works well; it gives almost an illusion of "non-presence" - a bit like the "black men" in the Japanese puppet theatre.
The deep/dark red fits well to a racing car, and makes it look more "raw". However, the traditional "Ferrari red" stays loyal to the traditional Italian "racing red" - isn't this true? Hence it could be said (if one has to find something negative to say :-D), that this is a breakaway from a good, old tradition. (I am aware that this has been seen before ...)
