Toto Wolff looks drugged at his console.

I liked the fact all overtakes were real overtakes. No DRS.

Quite an interesting race and pleased for Bottas a deserved win, but did think for a minute that Charles might have made the tyres last, but the drop in performance eventually put paid to that. Very mature drive by Max and probably the best drive at RB so far from Checo, his defence against Hamilton was memorable and firm and RB should be indebted to him for that.
The penalty for Gasly was a disgrace, where was the guy supposed to go with Perez coming down the inside and Alonso doing his usual around the outside at the first corner which was always going to come unstuck in the end. Mind you although no fan of Alonso his driving of late particularly in qualifying has been outstanding.
However for me the highlight was Carlos Sainz drive, absolutely the best drive from anyone this season. Shame his pitstop was so bad as he might have been even higher up the field at the end. Carlos' early progress through the field made Hamilton's look very poor in comparison. Every overtake was clean and decisive, maybe Sebastian would disagree but he should have shown more awareness anyway.

I noticed that Daniel passed him on the first lap but Carlos immediately took back that position and then started to overtake people one by one while at the same time Ricciardo stayed stuck behind Russell. Just imagine had he started from 4th or 5th. Ferrari is on the way back and have the strongest driver pairing.

Couldn't agree more René about the Ferrari driver pairing, quite simply the best combination out there. Mind you some channels on YouTube are trying to stir up some discontent between the drivers already, saying that Carlos has created friction between Charles and Binotto, absolute nonsense in my opinion.
Interestingly I remember reading something by Mark Hughes a year ago where he stated that Carlos was absolutely outstanding in difficult track conditions, which he ably demonstrated last weekend.
Carlos also mentioned after the race that overtaking later in the race became more difficult as the drying line prevented the earlier overtaking manoeuvres when the track was even across its full width. Charles performance was also very impressive, especially as he attempted to look after his tyres early on, obviously with an eye to going the full distance on one set.

I’ve seen that too. Total nonsense of course. The team spirit has never been better, between the drivers and the management. A sign of the times, this fake news.
