Good race, great result on a great track. Congratulations Rene to your countrymen for putting on such an excellent event. The pictures showed a wonderful place and there were some superb camera angles. Some of them reminded me a bit of the old Kyalami. Well done.

It was an amazing event and Max a well deserved winner. Maybe not the most exciting race of the year but it was great to watch and it felt like the whole country was holding its breath until Max passed the finish.
I am not really a very chauvinistic person but I must admit it was a great feeling to see what has been accomplished in Zandvoort. And then the cherry on the cake with Max’s win. Yes that was fantastic.

Yes, that race was much needed great positive :-) Really spectacular to watch the cars "fly along" the undulated surface, originally dictated by the sand dunes. It was spectacular to watch even without any "drama" as such.
The only thing one could criticize - if one really needs to find something to criticize - would be the oversized stemmed beer glass as a trophy ...

The funny thing is that Max said himself before the weekend that he found the trophy “very ugly” but he wanted to take it home anyway! It’s made from recycled beer bottles by the way.

Click on the link at the bottom of the forbidding black monolith Good one Carl. I watched that race live. Arthur is going very well at the moment so if he keeps that up he could actually join his older brother in F1 in a few years time. That increases the chance of a Leclerc win substantially! The only ‘problem’ will then be the abbreviation LEC used for Charles. As with Michael (MSC) and Ralph Schumacher (RSC) back in the days they will have to change it to CLE and ALE or something.

It was a great occasion and had one of the best "feels' of a F1 meeting for some time. Pleased also for Jan Lammers a great reward for all his hard work and enthusiasm.
The track has a certain look about it of Suzuka and that is definitely no bad thing.
So fitting that Max won in elegant style.

Yes Chris, and I thought he should have gone on at full speed because he owes Mercedes nothing at this point. Instead of encouragement, Bottas has been beaten down by the demands of Saint Lewis and Tonto. The management at Red Bull and Mercedes are both experts at discouraging and discarding talented number twos, and whatever competitive fire Bottas once had may or may not be rekindled elsewhere.

Never a truer word said Carl, as it appears Valteri has signed for Alfa so hopefully we will see that great talent blossom again

Yes, when a newly restored circuit is made like Zandvoort is, then there's hope for the future!

Of course there were more people involved and some arguably even more important but Zandvoort born and raised Jantje as we call him was the voice and face of this project for the last couple of years and he did it with verve.

Surprise, surprise, George Russell to Mercedes!
It will be interesting to see how this works out. I remember how Leclerc overtook Vettel in Bahrein and almost won his second race for Ferrari. Seb was never the same again after that race. I don't think this will happen with Lewis but George will be another challenge compared to Valtteri, no doubt.

Yes finally confirmed that George Russell is going to MB next year; great news but I do not trust Tonto one little bit especially when you hear some of the words that George has been coming out with over the past few weeks. I hope he does a Charles to SLH and make the blighter actually work for anymore championships the might come his way.
Talking of Tonto he really is a piece of work; apparently telling Red Bull they have to relinquish all alignments with Alexander Albon if he is to get the Williams drive. What a flaming hypocrite, correct me if I am wrong here but wasn't/isn't Esteban Ocon a MB junior driver and driving first for Renault and now Alpine Renault, did he have to relinquish his MB connections?
I hope Jost Capito stamps on Tonto good and hard and tells him to mind his own business, could see Williams with RB power units in the future anyway. Albon deserves a chance at Williams and could well be a revelation there next year. Also good luck to Valterri at Alfa Romeo, I trust he will flourish in that environment, it can only be good for him.

Alexander Albon confirmed at Williams in 2022, so Jost has sat on Tonto, Wunerful!
