that is interesting Rene, thank you
Gutted, on so many levels, Scott was class but sadly went off, Jonathon was brilliant and feel he is trying just that little bit more, Toprak was Toprak, and what was his team-mate doing? Rinaldi nealry took out Johnny and was then taken out by our American friend, Alex was not there - but Honda, dreadful, surely this can't last? we will see someone like Petrucchi on a Honda next year?

Disappointing Sunday for the Redding family with third in the short "Pole Race" and the tumble when trying to get back in front of Johnny Rea. The tyre just did not work for Scott in the short race but a steady ride into third wasn't a total disaster, the soft tyre choice in Race Two did not work so well as it did on Saturday and he was having to push hard to make up for it.
In reality the Ducati isn't as complete a package as that of Kawasaki who have had years to perfect the whole deal from Johnny and crew chief Pere Riba to the motorcycle itself. Ducati also dropped the ball when they did not re-sign Chaz Davies and promote Rinaldi. Chaz and Scott worked really well together and being of similar build took the bike development direction as a team, Rinaldi's inclusion has destroyed that as he is of a much smaller build and cannot contribute to a joint development plan.
Honda are all at sea in both WSB and MotoGP and remind me of Ferrari back in the distant past when they believed that the engine was the most important item of a race vehicle, sadly for them not the case. Honda need to get someone on those bikes that can develop a bike, and more importantly listen to what they say.

Many thanks René, but not my nephew but my cousin . Ah yes, a subtle difference. In Dutch they're the same, both called 'neef' (or 'nicht' for a girl/woman). I've always known an older man can call any young man "son", but enjoy the privilege less from the other side.

I can see how you interpreted the relationship now as in your country they appear to be one of the same. In the UK your cousin is the son or daughter of an uncle or aunty, whereas a nephew or niece is the son or daughter of a brother or sister sibling. For example my mother's sisters and brother's children would have been her nephew and/or niece, and in turn they would have been my cousins.

Folks sorry about the multiple posts but ProBoards were having a hizzy fit this afternoon and every time I hit the post button I got a "Sorry ProBoards Have A Problem Try Later". Tried umpteen times, even re-booted but no luck and now find multiple posts.
It was very weird as the site would open and threads could be accessed but when went to a specific topic, no luck.

I encountered the same dysfunction earlier, not entirely unusual, and you should be able to delete the extra posts.

This weekend sees the next round of the WSB Championship from Misano. Todays Race One has ben run and proved a great victory for Rinaldi on the factory Ducati, his how circuit for he lives but 20 minutes drive from the venue. A faultless ride by the young Italian/Chilean rider after a somewhat underwhelming championship since moving to the main team. New Pirelli tyres were in use this weekend and after a very trying practice period on Friday Scott Redding was not at all happy with the set up of his Ducati, he did however salvage a good fourth place finish but it was obvious he had serious front end issues as the bike would not turn into the corners. Highlight of the race was Johnny Rea's amazing save that was on a par with anything Marc Marquez has ever managed, it has to be seen to be believed. After the race where Johnny finished third he said it was pure luck, while all of the pundits on Eurosport were saying it was his absolute skill levels that allowed it to happen. Maybe Johnny knows more than anyone else what took place . Not wishing to take anything away from Rinaldi but I have a feeling that his light weight played a significant part in his win today and no doubt will favour him tomorrow. Just bear in mind he is 12 - 14kgs lighter than the likes of Scott and Chas and that is a huge amount as anyone who has lifted a 12kg bag of potatoes will know.

I caught the race a bit late and it was good, some good rides from the usual subjects, I do find both Rinaldi and Toprak very aggressive in their overtaking, although Toprak less so yesterday, and one day that will not work, thought Toprak was very good - that is until you look at Johnny, that was one amazing save, probably one of the very best I have ever seen, I haven't seen a Marquez tweet as yet I just think it was out of this world save, thought Scott and Alex did well and I note that this morning's warmup was dominated by Rinaldi and Scott, another rider who deserves a mention is Gerloff, starting in the pit lane was difficult enough and he rode well.
a few years ago there was a number of British riders in WSS and now there are none, maybe Tom B-A will be there next year and although the Brits dominate the WSB they are coming under more pressure and these doesn't seem to be any continuation - same as MotoGP,

All three of the WSB races were pretty much of a muchness with the top four places being pretty stable except for Toprak winning an excellent Race 3 on Sunday afternoon, well ridden by the Turkish Yamaha rider. Jonathan Rea settled for three third places and Scott likewise three fourth paces on a bike which would not give him any confidence in his front tyre.
An outstanding ride from Garett Gerloff yet again after such a lowly starting position, and this weekend he didn't manage to knock anyone off much to the amusement of commentator James Whitham.
In WSS it was wonderful to see Dominic Aegerter gain a brace of wins on the Ten Kate Yamaha R6. For many years Dominic was a leading rider in Moto2 and at one time tipped for a factory Honda MotoGP ride, but it did not come to pass, so great to see him doing well once more and maybe a WSB future awaits, possibly a factory Honda ride in 2022?
Sundays WSS300 race was compelling viewing with riders changing place in a huge group, but for the majority of the time Tom Booth-Amos was in front and looking supreme even with all the mayhem going on. However unbelievably when he had the race won he last the rear on the final corner handing the win the former champion Maria Herrera who was a worthy and clever winner, made even sweeter considering the huge operation she had last year on an injured back.
Next race is supposed to be Castle Donington for the Uk round but that might not be on due to Covid 19 restrictions and the increase in the Delta (Indian) variant.

It would be good see Dominic on the Honda next year as surely they can’t keep faith with their existing lineup
What a brilliant win for Maria so pleased for her so annoyed for Tom
Some real concerns about Donington as have tickets booked and a hotel arranged and the following weekend at knockhill for the bsb so really will be gutted

I think Domi would be an excellent choice for Honda next year, but it is just my own speculation, but who knows. You mentioned earlier about the lack of British riders in WSS, and it is worrying that there are none this year. Danny Webb was there last year with James Toseland running the team but nothing this year. Personally I think that young Rory Skinner should have gone, in fact he should have ben snapped up by a top team as hew as incredible last year in British Supersport. However Rory seems to have stepped up to BSB instead, maybe they see a career path from there to WSB.
