Yeh! Chris, the two Ducati boys get along really well and are genuinely pleased for one another when they get good results. I really do hope that they run a three bike factory team next year which is being mooted at present for it would be good to keep Chas in the team, especially now he seems to be getting to grips with the V4.
No doubt at all that Jonathan is a great rider but he has had such a good package tailored to his needs for a long time now. If Scott can get the same from Ducati then it will be game on next year, but he needs an equivalent package and a consistent one.
In answer to a PM for Carl, I think Gerloff has been outstanding these past few races and has been the surprise of the year. He is going to be very good indeed and Yamaha should look after him. The move that took out both BMW's wasn't good as an end result for Tom Sykes and Eugene Laverty and both were very annoyed with the American. It was marginal and a bit rude considering the conditions but these things happen, particularly at the beginning of races.
I am really looking forward to the finalé to the British series at Brands on the full GP circuit, all to play for with four riders in contention. Josh Brookes is a specialist around there so must be looking like a favourite.
Interesting that you also suffer from the incorrect use of your name Chris, my goodness it riles me. For most of my life I have had to put up with idiots misspelling my family name, more often than not it would be written Reading. I would irately say it's got two bl**dy "d's" and it ain't reading as in book!

there does seem to be a very positive camraderie in the paddock at WSB and BSB, although BMW rider did indicate Gerloff should practice safe sex, to me it was an ambitious move that didn't pay off -
I am not convinced Chas will stay at Ducati and maybe it might serve him to move on, not sure where other than BMW or Honda but he is a proven winner and it would be in keeping with Ducati to let him go
yes, more so since I moved North, no idea why, maybe we need to start a campaign for accurate spelling of surnames, although what especially annoys me are people insinuating I have mispelled my name not that they are wrong, that does get a sharp respoonse

The big finalé for both series this weekend, should make excellent viewing.
Sadly I have read that Smiths are leaving BSB with their team after some great seasons in recent years both in BSB and on the Road Circuits with Peter Hickman. This year hasn't been so good as for some reason the 2020 BMW bikes have not performed well.
Peter Hickman has said that he has a good deal for next year sorted but cannot at this stage say what it is. I feel it might be with Hector Neal's squad at TAZ as they run BMW's and next seasons bikes are apparently much better, we will see.
Also Chaz Davies has been booted out of Ducati in WSBK which is a real shame and the touted move to Honda in place of Leon Haslam is not on as Leon has been resigned. I think Scott will not be happy about this as he gets on very well with Chaz and they really work well together. Rinaldi therefore moving up from his satellite team, that will be interesting as he needs to be much more consistent in my opinion.

Scott has been on fire in all practice sessions today at Estoril, just managed to watch the last session (4) the action was excellent indeed. Although Estoril is maybe not one of the great tracks it is superb by todays standards especially in the October sunshine, actually a really great place.
Good to see the Yamaha R1's of Toprac and Loris Baz going very well also in second and third and ahead of Jonathan Rae. Another excellent performance from Jonas Folger in 9th today, it would be great to see him regain his old form and passion, a really good rider whose health issues put paid to his MotoGP career.
