He’s familiar but I can’t place the face....I’ll probably kick myself when you Gents enlighten me 😁
It looks a bit like a young Gene Hackman also 😂

Surely you can tell who is he: I believe he drove for the Alfa Romeo sports car team and also drove the horrendous Tecno F1 car for a while, had a yellow helmet?

Incidentally the Nova 582 has many design similarities to the very well made Japanese F1 Kojima car. I wonder if it was penned by the same guy and built by the same shop.
Hoshino was way better than many of the Japanese drivers and was racing very competitively into his 40's. I remember that he turned up at Donington for the F2 race there in the early 80's driving a March and was pretty quick.

I’m not to up on my Ferrari team managers so I’ll list the only ones I know that might fit ( right sort of era):
Audetto? Dragoni? Colombo? Gozzi?
I’m out........😁

The Alfa and Tecno driver with yellow helmet is Nanni Galli.
He is indeed Ignazio Giunti.
You knuckled it down, Jamie!

The Kojima was designed by Masao Ono, who also penned the Dome sportscar, but I can't find any reference for the Nova. Hoshino by all accounts was a very good driver.

Getting back to the Maurer F2 car, I knew that very close by was an image I had taken at Donington in 1981; it features the late Manfred Winkelhock turning into the chicane just before the pits. © John Charles
