Carl, on my ever growing list of things i would like to have a crack at is driving a NASCAR race car, visiting a USAC midget race, a NASCAR race and possibly the Dayton 24hrs, but also doing some motorbike touring - just need a wee bit of money to help fund this
it is a shame about Riverside - it was a magical name and although nothing like it in terms of shapes but it reminds me of Brooklands - where many years before the Goodwood festival they held an annual hill climb, but you as a spectator had to be invited, which sort of said it all to me - but it was a great day and I got to walk on part of the hallowed circuit, which of course half of which is now a housing estate - as Surrey is a very sort after area and house prices are excessive and that was that

The Skiroule sponsorship was the big clue I love those Atlantic / F2 cars

Yes, my familiarity with North American racing provides an advantage unless the photograph is of the disreputable Andretti twins stealing gas from unsuspecting Sunoco customers. Like Jamie, I knew immediately by the snowmobile sponsor that it was Gilles Villeneuve, and also who was behind, but I doubt I would have beaten Jamie, whose knowledge and speed are amazing.

Who are the drivers? Where and when? Bonus points for the names of the two sinister figures in pith helmets. Warning: This may be an impossible complication to thwart success. Attachment Deleted
