Will Márquez continue his winning streak or can Dovi strike back with a new contract in his pocket? But wouldn't it be great if Johann Zarco could win his first Moto GP race at home in France?!

On my way home from the UK to France there were quite a few bikers on the Ferry yesterday afternoon/evening heading for Le Mans. Also lots of bike groups about as well, and it looks like being excellent weather wise.
In the past the Le Mans circuit has favoured the Yamaha's so hopefully Johann Zarco will be able to achieve his first win, and also the first for a non factory machine.

it looks tight - I would dearly love to see Zarco win, he really is a class act, either Rossi or Mav would also be great in truth, but Dovi for me, he has the new contract in his pocket and isn't anyone's No2 anymore,
but the gossipmongers are having a field day, and I am wondering if Lorenzo will actually have a drive next year, or Scott come to that, or Bradders - because I must admit I would be looking at Miller on the other full works Ducati
but practice looks interesting and one of my most magical moments was coming out after the MotoGP and seeing the car parks packed to the rafters with bikes of all shapes and sizes, that was one impressive scene and then roaring off - 100's of us - brilliant

I’d really like Zarco to win, failing that Rossi...a Zarco win would be well deserved for both rider and team.
Hoping for great weather and an exciting race, the previous round was a bit of a bore which is unusual for MotoGP thankfully. Scott and Bradley need a result as well so I’ll have fingers crossed for them but it looks ominous for both I’m afraid...

Incroyable, Vive La France . Stunning pole lap by Johann Zarco, I believe a full 6 tenths of a second faster than the fastest official factory Yamaha. The tuning fork company should be hanging their head in shame at letting this guy pass through their fingers, just as Suzuki did at the end of 2016. One has to say that if, maybe, he had been Spanish or Italian that would not have been the situation. 100,000 spectators at Le Mans today for Qualifying; goodness knows how many tomorrow for the race, what an occasion this will be.

Awesome photographs that show what I love about motorcycles: rider and bike as one. Wish I had a practical way to watch because I love MotoGP and really like the Bugatti circuit...

Unfortunately Carl seems the only way to really watch this brilliant series is via some sort of pay as you watch scheme, unless you know how to get around that and I don't, I reckon subscribing to Dorna coasts me around 4euros a week and at the moment I am ok with that- wish i could pay with the coins that i seem to accumulate everytime I go to Europe but there you go and practicality wise I would like to stream it via my TV as opposed my PC but that would cost me extra apparantly..??
The Bugatti circuit is great to visit with a really respectable museum attached and as a visitor to the MotoGP there a few years ago it is spectacular to watch

I'd pay if need be, but there's currently more racing than I have time to watch. Formula One, IndyCar and Indy Lights, IMSA Prototypes and separate GTLM and smaller sedan events. Also shown are Australian V-8 Supercar races and British Touring Cars, both suffering by being edited for time constraints which makes them appear fast-forwarded.
In the past and until recently, MotoGP was on the Velocity Channel as well as British and AMA Superbikes, where Mat Mladin and Ben Spies were teammates on the Yoshimura Suzuki team. So I do miss motorcycle road racing...
Enjoy the French Grand Prix!

There will be a lot of support for Johann this afternoon. Certainly at Le Mans but obviously also here at the Round Table. Allez Johann!

what a let-down, can't fault the winners, all drove great races - but can't get away just how disapointing it was, onwards and upwards, Mugello next!

Fairy tales seldom come true, and neither is Father Christmas real. It would have been a great story but not to be, however Johann will win soon, and often as the years pass, he is that good. 107 crashes over the race weekend at Le Mans which is truly astonishing and indicates issues somewhere; could be track surface; temperatures or the Michelin tyres. With regard to the latter it is pretty self evident that some riders are struggling with the French tyre manufacturers product in MotoGP which cannot be right. Dunlop on the other hand have no such problems in Moto2; food for thought. Highlights of the MotoGP race, Zarco's overtake into first corner on lap one, absolutely flaming brilliant, three riders in one shot on cold tyres; and also Crutchlow's very brave and gritty ride, give the lad credit that was some performance. As well as that a "big up" to Dovi for the very honest appraisal of his crash, no excuses, top boy. Disappointing end to the weekend, time for a glass of good Cote de Rhone .

You said it all John and Chris, a disappointing race ....not exactly a thriller past one third distance but hey ho.
I really hope Zarco wins this year, could be slim pickings at KTM, at least at first. I think Zarco will replace Rossi in my affections, he’s a great rider and seems a top man too.....👍

Eventful race and disappointing, mostly for Johann Zarco but also for Ducati. But in all fairness, the guys on the podium are the ones who didn't make a mistake.
Can anyone stop Marquez winning another title? I can't see it for now.
