Just watched, couldn’t wait. Elegiac. Nina probably needed to do it, as a closure for the tragedies in her life and family – the film is as much about Barbro as Ronnie. The past is really a foreign country, how those guys could take death of one of their own like that – and carry on racing - is beyond my personal experience and comprehension. Nina’s tears at the beginning, back on the Monza’s rettifilo were quite moving. I do hope she is more at peace now. Beautiful film. Perfect sentiments Lucio........it really is a beautiful film.

Way overdue but yesterday I finally watched the Super Swede documentary. No English subtitles so a good exercise in Swedish but given the context it was mostly reasonably easy to follow and most interviews are in English. It is a very compelling documentary with a lot of footage I had never seen before. But it’s mainly the human side of the documentary which is very moving. Especially when Nina (she looks very much like her dad) visits Emerson is a highlight of the film. Emerson is a lovely guy and it’s great to see how Nina seems at peace with the past and is obviously very proud of her dad’s achievements. Losing both her parents under tragic circumstances must have been very hard but she seems strong. All in all a very good film and a beautiful tribute to the great Ronnie Peterson. PS @ JC, wonderful to see Ronnie’s other passion in the film, keeping tropical fish! “Det är en fantastisk hobby”

Good to hear that you have finally managed to see the film René. It really is excellent and I must watch it again, although I find it hard at times due to the outcome.
That is a great photo of Ronnie in the 1973 Lotus 72E, for me the greatest memory of him, they were just made for one another.

that is a beautiful picture Rene, I will forever associate Ronnie with the 72 more so than anyone else,
I also find it difficult to watch the end of these documentaries - 41 years on, still so sad

Peter Windsor is showing clips of the brillinat 1978 South African GP on Utube, my word is it worth watching, and shows after the race Ronnie and then Patrick putting down a journalist, beautiful
