John, very rarely for me words actually fail me, that is absolutely brilliant and my awe increases every time i look at it and I would echo Jamie's sentiments that would look very proud on my wall alongside all the Jimmy pictures and my other art collections but thank you yet again John, your talent is somewhat awesome - cheers

Arturo was a great little sportscar driver and his Targa Florio in 1972 with Sandro Munari was superb. I originally studied to be an Art & Design Teacher and my chosen topic was painting racing cars, which I continued to do in the 1970's. One of my favourites is the painting I did of Arturo in the 312PB at the Targa Florio. That looks very good JC, my compliments. Man, we have quite a few things in common! Besides the passion for racing and collecting model cars, I have made many illustrations of race cars in my life. Have been drawing race cars since I was a little boy and during the eighties and nineties I made all kind of illustrations for packeging or advertisements. To earn some extra money I made and sold drawings of cars/race cars, mostly with pastel crayon or markers. Only have a few left myself and haven't made a drawing for years but still...

Don’t tease René.......get one of those drawings up on line 😂
If it’s half as good as your slot car or forum building skills, it’ll be quite brilliant.

Gents, Thank you all so much for your kind words and compliments about the painting of Arturo. As you will notice it was done a long time ago, even before Niki Lauda won his first WC . I have all of my remaining paintings, the ones that i did not sell or give away, on the wall in the lounge and office. Towards the end of the 1970's I stopped painting, as I became rather disillusioned by it all and encountering some difficult clients, and then concentrated on my magazine and model car building. People have often said over the past few years that I should start again, but time and opportunity do not present themselves. I really would like to paint a picture of Jimmy Clark, so who knows....... Really pleased that you all like the work, thank you again. JC
