Indeed they are Mikael. I had just read that article by Mark Hughes and I think you summarised it perfectly, plus you gave a solution which Mark didn't. The last company I worked for had a convention of "don't present a problem unless you have a solution". Even if the solution was wrong, it got others talking and thinking about it, possibly leading to a good solution.

totally Mikael, MotoGP is going in the direction of 'green fuels' with a set agenda that will see the fuel powering the bikes fully synthetic and reducing emissions and also for me pointing the direction we need to look at for future road cars and bikes.
One thing that is perhaps overlooked or not mentioned a great deal is when the F1 bosses talk of saving the planet is the environmental impact all these fly away circuits have on the planet- same as most series - surely and please correct me if I have missed any conversations about this if the likes of Liberty want to reduce their environmental footprint is to reduce the damage air travel causes - how this is achieved is unclear

Yes, indeed, Chris, zero-carbon fuels appears to be a very good solution (as long as the production of these fuels is the same, i.e. zero-carbon). As to the electrification of cars, the hunt for rare earth elements is also a worrying factor, not to mention the battery recycling problem ...

I think at one of the GP's last year, Carl's favourite commentator mentioned that one of the planes had been flown over using "green fuels". How we would ever confirm that though I don't know.
